Gaza, Sketsa.id – Senior Hamas official Ghazi Hamad declared on Tuesday that the internationally brokered Gaza ceasefire is dangerously close to complete collapse, citing over 800 documented violations by Israeli forces since the agreement took effect in October 2025.

In a comprehensive media briefing, Hamad stated that the truce—mediated by Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the United States—has been systematically undermined by “intentional and planned” Israeli actions. According to his account, Israeli forces have committed an average of 25 violations daily, totaling more than 813 incidents since the ceasefire began 66 days ago.

The human cost remains devastating. Hamad reported that approximately 400 Palestinians have been killed during this ceasefire period, with civilians comprising 95% of the fatalities. Among the dead, 36% were children, 15% women, and 4% elderly individuals. These casualties resulted from continued bombings, shootings, and military incursions that Hamas claims directly violate the agreement’s terms.

While Hamad asserted Hamas’s full compliance with the ceasefire, he accused Israel of multiple breaches including the destruction of 145 homes, repeated closures of the Rafah border crossing, and restrictions on humanitarian aid. The blockade on fuel and reconstruction materials has created what he described as a “severe crisis” affecting hospitals, municipal services, and civilian livelihoods.

The Hamas official emphasized that detailed daily reports of these violations have been submitted to international mediators through joint operation rooms, but Israeli forces continue their escalation. He warned that without immediate intervention from mediating nations, the entire ceasefire framework risks disintegration.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the broader conflict has claimed 70,667 Palestinian lives since October 2023, with 171,151 injured. The current ceasefire, intended to provide humanitarian relief and pave way for political negotiations, now faces its most serious challenge as violations accumulate and trust between parties deteriorates.
